App S Shafrizal, the rider of CHAMPAGNE FINALE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 750m, he permitted his mount to shift outwards, when not clear of RUNFINNRUN (App WW Cheah), resulting in that horse having to be checked.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and the reduction of scheduled Race Meetings programmed for the Singapore Turf Club in the immediate future.
App Shafrizal was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 24 August 2020 to Sunday, 30 August 2020 both dates inclusive (one Singapore Race Day) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

App WW Cheah, the rider of RUNFINNRUN, in the presence of his Master, Trainer S Gray, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 400m, he permitted his mount to shift outwards, when not clear of STORM TO WIN (App N Zyrul), resulting in that horse clipping heels and almost fall.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness, the reduction of scheduled Race Meetings programmed for the Singapore Turf Club in the immediate future and submissions from App Cheah that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Sunday, 30 August 2020.
App Cheah was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 31 August 2020 to Saturday, 19 September 2020 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

On Sunday, 23 August 2020, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into a report from the Clerk of Scales that Jockey S Noh (pictured), the rider of NOWYOUSEE, returned to scale in excess of 1.0kg over the declared weight that he weighed out for the above race.
Jockey Noh pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(7) in that after riding NOWYOUSEE, which finished second, beaten a nose, in Race 13 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 23 August 2020, he returned to scale having weighed in more than a kilogram above the declared weight.
There was no evidence to suggest that Jockey Noh had or attempted to deceive the Clerk of Scales when weighing. However, Jockey Noh had admitted consuming some fluid and food after he weighed out for the race and that this may have contributed to him returning overweight.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, nature of the charge, the finishing position of NOWYOUSEE and margin, the reduction of scheduled Race Meetings programmed for the Singapore Turf Club in the immediate future and submissions from Jockey Noh that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Sunday, 30 August 2020.
