Champion jockey Vlad Duric will miss one of the richest race days on the Singapore racing calendar after being suspended for his winning ride on FIELD MARSHAL on Sunday the 2nd of August.

Duric pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that after passing the 800m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when not clear of STAR SHIELD (S John), resulting in that horse being taken inwards across the running of OVERCOMING (I Saifudin), which had to be checked.

Duric who leads the premiership on 36 wins (16 ahead of Ruan Maia) had the choice of being suspended for either Saturday 8th of August or Sunday the 16th of August but chose to fulfill his engagements for next weekend and sit out the Kranji Mile meeting.
