Race 8 – 10 ENZEMBLE
Remains a maiden after nine local starts but prior to his last-start effort, he was knocking on the door with four consecutive placings.
His last start seventh placing is better than it reads after getting caught in an awkward position at the 1100m, from where he was left racing wide without cover, before allowed to track up into second at the 400m before his run came to an end inside the 200m.
Comes into barrier 4 this week and will be a big improver with a conducive trip.
Race 11 – 1 BEAUTY LEGACY
Has been disappointing since his debut win four starts ago in early January, however in that time, the stable has been adamant in trying to get him to settle back in the field, which has utterly backfired on each occasion.
This week, it appears as though a change of tactics is in order, after he led throughout in a recent trial. In a race devoid of speed, he looks the leader and is capable of being in it for a long way.
Sectional Time Stars
Race 7 – 4 ROMAN IMPERO
Returns to a suitable track and distance, as well as being in the right class of race to find the winner’s circle again, after losing ground at the start over 1650m 18 days ago at Happy Valley. Motored home the second fastest in the event for a promising fourth and keep him safe in this week’s race.
Race 4 – 11 SHINING ON
Had blinkers go on for the first time last start, and there was some market confidence surrounding him, however he bungled the start and settled too far back. Returned good late splits, however, as he has been doing so lately, and could be a value top 3 chance in this week’s race.
