Macau: Racing programme for April 2020 and beyond

Macau Jockey CLub

The Macau Jockey Club is set to start racing again on April 17 and 18 with a double header meeting on that weekend.

Macau has not races since March 21 amid the worsening COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, in a statement, the MJC said:

Due to the Covid 19 Virus pandemic, in order to reduce the crowd gathering, racing programme has been amended: with the exception of Chairman’s Challenge Cup and the 4 Year Old Derby series, certain Group races will be raced as rating 70+ races. The Lisboa series will change to condition races.

About three race days that have been cancelled in late March and early April; the racing programme will be rescheduled to minimize adverse effects.

As a consequence to the world wide pandemic, horse freight has to be suspended until further notice. To avoid insufficient entries in the next few months, we will provide maximum of 6 races per meeting.
