VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 7 Number 9 STAR OF JUPITER
Caught the eye with a fast finishing second at his first-up run two weeks ago when he copped a heavy bump at the start which forced him to settle off the speed.
Once entering the straight, he showed a strong turn of foot and charged home well to find just one better over this distance. He will strip much fitter second-up and with better luck in running, he can prove a value choice against some more fancied horses.
Race 8 Number 10 WATCH OUT BOSS
Has been racing in career-best form with three wins and two placings from his last five starts, including a solid third most recently when stepping up to Class 3 for the first time.
He settled patiently in midfield that day and ate up the ground along the rail to miss by 2.5 lengths over 1000m. Standing out as the form choice this week, he has to be rated a big winning chance.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 5 Number 1 KING LOUIS
Was far from disgraced on a rain-affected track last start when he settled too far back before letting down well in the straight to check into fifth over 1800m while clocking the second best final 400m in 24.13 seconds. He will relish dropping to Class 2 where he is one-from-one, and boasting a great 75 per cent winning strike rate third-up holds him in good stead to make amends.
Race 6 Number 4 PRIME TIME
Has recorded the best final split in the past three outings and he was last seen flashing home late to check into third, beaten a neck in a quality Novice race in early January. The form has since been franked with first place WATER ROCKET and second place BUURAQ both winning in Class 4 recently, which bodes well for him to score first-up.
