Race 5 – 4 HARMONY VICTORY

Put the pen through his last start ninth placing in the G3 Centenary Vase as he stood flat-footed at the start and consequently lost a significant amount of ground.

From the rear, he was never in the race, and he disappointed as the second favourite. Drops back to Class 1 after two tries at Group level and his second to DOCTOR GEOFF in the G3 January Cup two starts ago bodes well for a race like this.

Race 9 – 7 SUNSET WATCH

Has drawn no lower than barrier 11 in three of his four local starts and his last start fourth place was eye-catching as he came from last in the run to check home 2 ½ lengths to quality sprinter Amazing Star. The jockey, in fact, was warned of his riding that night and told it had come under notice.

Jumps from barrier 1 this week so expect a change in tactics as the former Australian galloper usually led or was at least on pace in seven starts there.

Race 1 – 2 ENJOYABLE SUCCESS

Drops back to Class 5, where he boasts good form, and his first-up run in which he settled rearward had good merit to it as he closed off the third fastest in a well-below average tempo. Looks a big improver second-up at 1800m.

Race 8 – 5 DANCES WITH DRAGON

Generally gets back in running and last start from 12th at the turn, he returned the fastest last section in the race to check home eighth while making up 4 ¼ lengths inside the 400m. Races first-up for a new stable and trialled well for it. Can figure.
