Kranji Track Spy, February 21

Race 2  Number 5 MEGA GOLD

Did not disgrace himself on debut 21 days ago when he travelled three-wide throughout in a slowly run race where the first five in running at the 400m crossed the line in that order.

His fourth place had good merit to it and he is well placed in a below par Restricted Maiden field this week where he can prove a big winning chance second-up.

Race 3  Number 10 TOBRUK

His first-up unplaced effort was better than it reads as he was caught wide throughout when stalking the speed off a fast tempo, so it was no surprise to see him battle away in the straight to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths over 1200m.

He will strip fitter second-up and meeting a moderate field, where most of his rivals are out of form, holds him in good stead to breakthrough.

Race 5  Number 8 DECRETO

Produced an improved effort last start when reeling off the fourth best final 400m (24.04 sec) to check into second over this track and distance. Watch closely as he usually runs well with market support.

Race 6  Number 9 TIGER FORCE

Made eye-catching late progress to check into fourth over this distance last start while recording the third quickest final sectional. He is suited by switching back to the Polytrack where he holds the course record.
