Race 4 – 9 DAILY BEAUTY
Debuted with an eye-catching fifth, beaten 1 ¼ lengths off a very slow early speed over 1200m at Sha Tin, before going on to race greenly second-up to finish a moderate 10th over 1400m at Sha Tin 31 days ago. He has been back to the trials and performed well in blinkers.
The important gear change applies to race-day as well as the tongue tie and a better run can be expected.
Race 7 – 9 RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE
Overlook last start when beaten as the $2.5 favourite as he had no luck in the latter stages. Finishing off strongly inside the 250m, he then raced tight inside the 150m and close to the finishing line, was badly checked and crowded for room and was unable to be fully tested. Eventually finishing sixth, beaten 1 ¾ lengths, he arguably should have been winning the race.
Prior runs suggest he’s edging close to a win and he can still be followed this week and looks a top winning hope.

Race 3 – 5 SHIMMER AND SHINE
Returns to his preferred track and distance on the seven-day backup after beginning fairly over 1200m at Happy Valley, getting back but flashing home the fastest for a better-than-it-reads seventh. Can improve to be in the money this week.
Race 5 – 2 DEFINING MOMENT
Drops back to Class 4 after two fast finishing efforts over 1400m at Sha Tin and his last-start 11th was much better than it reads as he was only 3 ½ lengths away at the finish. This is a much easier race for him this week.
