VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 1 Number 4 HERO STAR
Had no luck last start when he travelled wide throughout off the speed in a slowly run race but still let down sharply in the straight to finish second over 1100m at this track.
He has been knocking on the door recently and with better luck in running, he looks capable of landing his third career win.
Race 3 Number 1 CALCULATION
It pays to overlook his unplaced last start on turf as he has never run well on that surface, instead focusing on his eye-catching effort two starts ago when he charged home strongly to finish third over this track and distance in Class 3.
He will relish the drop in class and switching back to the Polytrack, where all his three career wins have occurred, appears a big plus.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 8 KAKADU
Was slow to begin on debut 28 days ago which forced him to settle at the rear before running on well up inside to check into sixth, recording the fifth quickest final 400m in 23.14 seconds. With a clean jump this week, he can prove a value choice.
Race 7 Number 6 LIM’S RHYTHM
Has been recording good final split in sprint races at his last three starts and based on his eye-catching third four starts ago, he is highly suited by rising to this distance and can make his presence felt late.
