Kranji Track Spy, February 9

Race 3  Number 11 TOBRUK

His last start unplaced effort was better than it reads when he was extremely slow to begin which saw him lose considerable ground early before letting down well in the straight to finish sixth beaten 8.7 lengths. He would have gone much closer had he jumped cleanly.

He has been rested for three months since and attacking the line strongly late in a recent trial suggests he is ready to run a big race first-up.

Race 5  Number 1 MISTER DYNAMO

Was poorly weighted in an Open Maiden race last time out when he settled just off the speed before running out of condition inside the final 200m to check into fifth over 1400m.

Prior to that, he finished sixth in a quality Restricted Maiden race at this track. So based on those efforts, he looks capable of breaking through making his Class 5 debut this week.

Race 4  Number 1 AUGUSTUS

Almost stole the show last start when he charged home late to miss by a nose in a Kranji Stakes B race over a mile, recording the best final split in 23.51 seconds. He is suited by the rise in distance and with the drop in class, he has to be rated a big winning chance.

Flashed home late to finish third behind in-form galloper STRONG N POWERFUL first-up while clocking the second quickest final 400m in 23.15 seconds. He will strip fitter second-up and dropping to Class 5, where he is one from two, holds him in good stead to score.
