VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 1 Number 5 ELITE BEAST
Has had little luck at his last three starts after racing wide from outer barriers. Still, he has returned good late-race splits and went close on those occasions, including two solid seconds recently.
He is well placed in a field with plenty of natural speed this week, which suits his racing pattern, and he can make his presence felt late.
Race 8 Number 1 LIM’S CRAFT
Endured a tough trip in the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy last start when he was unable to find sufficient galloping room from the 400m to the 200m. To make things worse, he copped a nasty check at the 150m before regaining momentum to check into a luckless fifth.
He has trialled well for his return and dropping to Class 3 where he boasts an impressive 100 per cent top 3 strike rate holds him in good stead to score first-up.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 7 Number 2 SACRED JUDGEMENT
Put the writing on the wall with a fast finishing third on his local debut 22 days ago when he clocked the fourth best final 400m in 23.07 seconds. He will strip fitter second-up and has to be rated a big winning chance against a below par Class 4 field.
Race 10 Number 1 STREET CRY SUCCESS
Makes his Class 4 debut off an eye-catching run in Class 3 last start when he reeled off the best final 400m (23.29 sec) to finish fifth over 1100m. Standing out as the class runner holds him in good stead to land his first local win this week.
