Kranji Track Spy, January 31

Race 1  Number 3 BLACK QUAIL

Was far from disgraced last start when he led under blistering splits which saw him travel around 7 lengths above average to the 400m, therefore he was entitled to weaken inside the final 200m and checked into fifth, beaten two lengths over 1400m at this track.

He has slid down the ratings and with a better-timed ride this week, it will be no surprise to see him return to the winner’s circle.

Race 8  Number 1 TOOSBIES

Has been disappointing since contesting Class 3 three starts ago, but showed big improvement in a recent trial where he led all the way to win by 1.8 lengths and recorded the fastest finishing time of all the heats that day.

Based on his eye-catching record of two wins and one placing from four attempts in this class, he will be highly competitive back down to Class 4.

Race 5  Number 4 MR DUJARDIN

Flashed home late to finish third in a Kranji Stakes C race over 2000m last start, reeling off the quickest final 400m in 23.26 seconds. He will relish the drop in class and looks ready to run a big race first-up.

Race 7  Number 4 RED RIDING WOOD

Rattled home well to check into fifth in a sprint race two weeks ago while producing the second quickest final split in 23.41 seconds. He is suited by rising to 1700m where he is a two-time winner with two placings from nine starts.
