Race 1 Number 8 SUPER WINNER
Backs up quickly from last week’s Happy Valley meeting where nothing went right for him as the well backed favourite. He was slow out from barrier 1 which enabled other runners drawn outside to cross him in the early stages, before being restrained at the 500m and over-racing.
When vying for a run up the rails inside the 200m, he had to check off heels and shift out at the 100m, finishing sixth, beaten 2 ¼ lengths. Strong race but has place claims.
Race 7 Number 4 VICTORIAM
Was heavily punted into favouritism when second-up at this track and distance 21 days ago but had no luck in running. From barrier 11 he raced five-wide in the early stages before sitting three-wide until turning for home.
To his credit, he stuck on until inside the 150m where his run came to an end, holding for seventh, beaten 2 ¼ lengths. Prior to that he ran a slashing run into second first-up and last season’s wins were strong. Draws a good gate in barrier 3 this week and looks hard to beat.

Race 2 Number 1 BLOOMING SPIRIT
Steps up to what should be a suitable 1650m after a couple of promising get back, run on performances over 1200m at this track. Off a slow speed last time, he returned the fastest last section in the race, suggesting a win is near.
Race 8 Number 7 CUE THE MUSIC
Showed he was up to Class 2 when closing off the second fastest in his last race over 1000m at Sha Tin behind the talented Voyage Warrior. A return to this track and distance is a positive, where he made all two starts ago.
