Race 6 Number 6 Super Lucky

Races third-up after excuses at his two runs back this preparation. First-up he raced wide throughout in a true run race but held for sixth, beaten 4 ½ lengths, before going on to run well-back in the field second-up  but finishing strongly into eighth, beaten 4 ¼ lengths.

Races off a 49-day let up and trialled well in lead up to this week’s race while a few natural frontrunners engaged should ensure enough pace for him to figure late. Each-way claims.

Race 7 Number 7 Solar Wai Wai

Jumped from a wide barrier at this track and distance 20 days ago and was unable to slot in which forced the jockey to sit three-wide. Took off from a mid-field position at the 900m to share the lead at the 350m, but with the mid-race exertion taking its toll inside the 200m, he faded to fifth, beaten 3 ¾ lengths.

It was a good run all things considering, and his prior fourth also had merit to it in a very fast run race, so with better luck in running he looks an each-way player.

Race 2 Number 10 Joy Avenue

Run off his legs early over 1000m 20 days ago and his 11th place is better than it reads. Closed off with a slick final section only to be beaten 3 ¾ lengths but the rider was advised for his poor handling in the straight. Improving type worth considering.

Race 5 Number 3 Planet Star

Was sluggish out last start, then heavily restrained throughout, before closing off the fastest in the event to finish a strong eighth over 1200m. Steps back up to 1650m where prior form is good and looks an each-way hope with a good run in transit likely from barrier 1.
