Race 4 – 4 DREAM WARRIORS

You can put the pen through his luckless last start in which he was slow to begin from a wide draw which saw him settle at the rear, contrary to his usual racing pattern. To make matters worse, once closing off the race inside the final 150m, he copped a nasty check and was eased down, finishing ninth, beaten 4 ½ lengths.

He tries the AWT for the first time, which is an unknown, but on prior form, and the likelihood of being on pace rather than back in the field, he looks capable of finishing in the money.

Race 9 – 5 CRAIG’S STAR

Recent runs have been encouraging but under completely different race shapes to when he won four starts ago – he travelled four lengths below average on that occasion but since then has always returned figures well above average, most recently fading late because of high mid-race exertion. Track and distance suits here and this looks a race where he can bounce back.

Race 1 – 4 KA YING EXCELLENT

Has not been able to draw a gate at all three career starts but has been recording good final splits from back in the field, most recently defying a slow early speed to flash home into fifth, beaten 3 ¾ lengths.

Race 6 – 5 MY WINNER

Racing well after a stable change but his last two runs have had excuses. Most recently, he clipped heels early and lost ground, settling well back but closing off the best in the race for a 2 ¾ length fifth. Can map handier from a low draw.
