VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 1 Number 2 HEART OF COURAGE
Makes his Class 5 debut off three consecutive fourths in Class 4 and he was far from disgraced last time out when recording good late split to miss by 1.5 lengths over 1200m on turf.
Based on the strength of his past few runs, he should be highly competitive dropping to Class 5, so it will be no surprise to see him return to the winner’s circle.
Race 10 Number 2 LONGHU
Was caught in an early speed battle last start which saw him travel three-wide off a blistering tempo. Once entering the straight, he ran out of condition inside the final 200m and battled away into sixth beaten 4.7 lengths.
He finds himself in a below par Class 4 field this week and with a better-timed ride, he is capable of making amends.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 12 POROSHIRI
Showed signs of ability on debut when he rattled home strongly to check into fifth over this distance, recording the second best final split (22.92 sec). With natural improvement, he has to be included against modest opposition.
Race 11 Number 5 SURGE
Failed to find cover after jumping from an outer alley at his local debut 45 days ago. Despite the early hard work, he still ran on well in the straight to finish fifth while clocking the fourth quickest final 400m in 23.06 seconds.
