Race 4 Number 8 Leap of Faith
Showed good signs of ability on debut at this track and distance 20 days ago despite going down as favourite. Was very slow to begin from barrier 10 and had to be urged along for the first 200m to find a position, before looking likely of being in the money late but fading inside the 50m to finish 1 ¾ length into fourth.
Should have come on well from that run being a Size-trained galloper and he can go close to winning here.
Race 6 Number 4 London Hall
Last start’s 10th placing has more merit to it than it reads after settling rearward in a very slow run race where it was sectionally impossible for him to win, however his mid-race and late race splits were positive and the 5 ¼ length beaten margin wasn’t all that bad.
Looks an improver back down to Class 4 as well as racing fourth-up at his proven track and distance from barrier 3. Value chance.
Sectional Time Stars
Race 1 Number 1 Winwin Thirtythree
Steps up to what should be a more suitable distance after two promising runs in this grade while returning fast late splits. However, on each occasion he has lost many lengths due to bombing the start, so he needs to jump on terms.
Race 9 Number 13 High Rev
The rider left his run too late over 1800m at Happy Valley, unable to make up the required ground from his position in running but returning the best late splits in the event to check home third. 2000m is a query but hard to knock his form.
