RACE BY RACE PREVIEWS: KENILWORTH@2019.12.07

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 1, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R70.000, 13:00GMT+2

Race Summary: SING OUT LOUD ran with promise on debut when showing pace throughout, only to be outrun by a more-experienced form rival. She would’ve come on appreciably for that outing and with natural improvement should go close once more. Dynasty debutante SILENT POETRY is bred to be useful, so could pose a threat. Improving FORGET O’ GIRLS and returning LADY OF THE LAKE have claims too.

Selections:

#9 Sing Out Loud, #8 Silent Poetry, #1 Lady Of The Lake, #5 Forget O’ Girls

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 2, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R67.500, 13:35GMT+2

Race Summary: Reliable HAMMIE’S FAN sets a good standard and will be competitive over a trip which suits. ON THE SCENT shed her maiden tag over 1400m and will appreciate a return to this distance after a decent sprint on handicap debut, while fellow 3yo LADY LU should have more to offer (on pedigree) stepped up to this trip. MARAVILLOSO could also have a role to play if bouncing back to form

Selections:

#2 On The Scent, #3 Lady Lu, #1 Hammie’s Fan, #4 Maravilloso

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 3, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R70.000, 14:10GMT+2

Race Summary: SMART WILLIAM caught the eye on debut and confirmed the promise of that runĀ  in his next start over the same trip. He is bred to enjoy the extra and should’ve more to offer, so is preferred to FADE TO BLACK who showed good improvement after gelding last time and could get closer over the extra. MR FERGIE and RED ROCK CANYON have earning potential. THEMADIRISHSHERIFF can earn.

Selections:

#1 Smart William, #8 Fade To Black, #9 Red Rock Canyon, #3 Mr Fergie

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R70.000, 14:45GMT+2

Race Summary: Wide open. ACADEMIC GOLD and DOUBLE REWARD have shown promise and will be shedding their maiden tags sooner rather than later. Both are bred to stay this trip so should be in the shake-up, though jockey bookings suggest stablemate FIRST STREET is preferred to the latter. Kotzen runners DARK MISTRESS, ARCTIC PRINCESS and DUCHESS OF MALFI have claims too. Include TWO FOR TEA.

Selections:

#1 Academic Gold, #2 Double Reward, #12 Two For Tea, #7 Duchess Of Malfi

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 5, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R70.000, 15:23GMT+2

Race Summary: Good race. Expensive TRACK ATTACK has become costly to follow but is worth another chance at this track with its longer straight. THE SECOND WAVE is closely matched with that rival and also has the form to win. IT’S COMPLEX and CONGO COMPAQ have the ability to make their presence felt too. MORSE, DOUBLE CROWN and JJ THE WOLF have earning potential.

Selections:

#6 Track Attack, #4 The Second Wave, #3 It’s Complex, #5 Congo Compaq

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 6, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R65.000, 16:00GMT+2

Race Summary: ONLY ONE LIKE YOU and TILLIEANGUS showed good improvement to win after gelding and both are likely to make further progress going this trip. The latter’s stablemate SILVER HOST ran well behind a smart sort last time and should be competitive again if staying the trip. Consistent hard-knockers SIX DEGREES, BLACK BELT and BROTHER LOUIS could get involved. Include CAPTAIN FLINDERS

Selections:

#4 Only One Like You, #6 Tillieangus, #10 Silver Host, #8 Brother Louis

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 7, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R60.000, 16:35GMT+2

Race Summary: RILLE ran on from a long way back in a similar contest over this trip last time and finished less than a length adrift of FYNBOS, who also stayed on well in that race. The pair are closely matched on these revised terms and both expected to feature prominently once more. Maiden winner MAYFERN could have more to offer over the extra and must be respected on her handicap debut.

Selections:

#3 Fynbos, #1 Rille, #4 Mayfern, #6 Elusive Rain

Kenilworth, 07.12.2019, Race 8, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R100.000, 17:10GMT+2

Race Summary: Intriguing contest. PRICELESS RULER ran well in a feature behind star miler One World and need only reproduce that effort (under a 6pt penalty) to be competitive but preference is for LIBERTY HALL who could underline Guineas credentials with a forward showing after a belated a comeback run. MERAKI, ZEB, ORAKAL and SPECTRA FORCE are distance suited. GREEN JACKET can have a say

Selections:

#6 Liberty Hall, #1 Priceless Ruler, #10 Orakal, #5 Green Jacket

Best Win: #9 SING OUT LOUD

Best Value Bet:

Best Longshot: #6 LIBERTY HALL
