VIDEO REPLAY STARS

Race 5  Number 9 CHAMPAGNE FINALE

His last start sixth place finish was better than it reads as he settled on speed off a blistering tempo which saw him travel 8.2 lengths to the 800m and 9.7 lengths to the 400m, therefore he was entitled to weaken in the straight.

He appears suited by the drop in distance and with a better-timed ride, he is capable of surprising at value with 50kg on his back.

Race 8  Number 4 SPIRIT OF BIG BANG

Though enduring a wide trip throughout after jumping from an outer alley last start, he still let down well in the straight to finish second in a slowly run race.

He has shown above average ability with one first and three seconds from four local starts and with better luck in running, he can prove hard to hold out.

SECTIONAL TIME STARS

Race 1  Number 2 REIGN

Returned to form making his Class 5 debut 21 days ago when he charged home strongly late to finish second over 1100m while recording the fastest final split. He has slid down the ratings and looks a big winning chance in this class.

Race 3  Number 1 BOY NEXT DOOR

Did not disgrace himself last start when he reeled off the third best final 400m (22.22 sec) to check into seventh beaten 2.5 lengths in a slowly run race. He can make his presence felt late under the right race shape.
