Race 4 Number 9 Dor Dor
Resumed over an unsuitable 1200m 14 days ago and was hampered early, losing significant ground before urged along to then take up a position. Had to work hard throughout and returned above average mid-race figures, eventually checking home 4 ¾ lengths into sixth.
That first-up run suggests he’s come back well and stepping up to 1650m will be better for his winning chances this week in an open Class 4 contest.
Race 6 Number 9 Compassion Star
Endured hard luck from a wide draw at this track and distance 21 days ago, racing extremely wide throughout. Eventually crossed the line in seventh but was only beaten 1 -1/4 lengths – a fair performance considering the nasty trip.
Jumps from barrier 2 which should ensure better luck in running this week.

Race 1 Number 11 What A Legend
Has produced some quality late splits from the rear of the field at his past two starts, however he should sit handier from barrier 1 this week after an impressive trial in blinkers in which he showed good tactical speed. Big improver.
Race 3 Number 12 Brilliant
Had clear excuses last start after he stood in the barriers and lost significant ground. Eventually worked home in the fastest last 400m of the race so his 10th place finish has more merit to it than it reads. Can surprise if he jumps on terms.
