Race 3 Number 3 Winning Endeavour

Showed big improvement at his first start for trainer Douglas Whyte 24 days ago, which was also his first try in Class 4. However, as he was starting to look likely of being in the money inside the final 200m, he copped a nasty check which cost him significant momentum and ground.

Thereafter, he regathered to check home into fifth for a 3 ¼ length beaten margin. With better luck in running this week, he looks big chance of finishing in the top 3.

Race 8 Number 1 Chefano

Has had little luck with the barrier draw in recent starts, jumping form alleys 14 and 11, respectively, at his last two starts. He has, however, produced big runs from back in the field for a close up second and third, edging closer to a win.

Drawn better should see him map closer to the speed and he should be coming to hand third-up this week after trialling in good fashion in between runs.

Race 4 Number 11 Spirit

Could be one to surprise at odds here after an improved effort when first-up 21 days ago over 1200m, returning the third fastest last 400m in the race to check home ninth, but only 4 ¼ length away. The rise in distance should suit this gelding.

Race 5 Number 3 Top Score

Races third-up after a fast finishing third off a slow early speed at this track and distance 21 days ago. Good each way chance in a competitive Class 4 race.
