VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 5 Number 1 MR ALFONSO
Far from disgraced himself last start when settling on speed and fighting bravely in the straight to finish fifth beaten 3.7 lengths over 1000m in Class 4.
Two starts ago, he finished second to LINCOLN MOONLIGHT who was placed twice subsequently in Class 4, so the strong formline bodes well for him making his Class 5 debut this week.
Race 9 Number 8 COMING THROUGH
It pays to overlook his disappointing last start as he pulled up with genuine vet excuses. In addition, he was poorly weighted in that race which made it tough for him to notch a double.
He was an impressive debut winner two starts ago and based on that run, he looks capable of bouncing back for another win with only 53.5kg on his back in Class 4.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 4 ALL WE KNOW
Races second-up this week after producing a fast finishing effort to check into fourth over 1200m first-up while recording the best final 400m in 22.32 seconds. With natural improvement, he looks a major player here.
Race 7 Number 5 THOMAS DE LAGO
Is on a nine-day back up off an eye-catching run over this track and distance when he reeled off the second best final split (22.97 sec) to finish third despite jumping awkwardly on that occasion. A proven performer in this class who has to be included.
