VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 1 Number 1 ROMANTIC
Put the writing on the wall with a close second on debut two weeks ago when he settled just off the speed and let down sharply in the straight to miss by a neck over this track and distance.
He will only have come on from that run and in what appears a moderate field this week, he can prove a big winning chance.
Race 4 Number 2 GOLDEN KID
Jumped awkwardly last start which saw him give the leader a 7.7-length head start at the 400m. Once entering the straight, he ran on well up the inside before being held up in the concluding stages, eventually finishing fourth, beaten 1.2 lengths.
Dropping to Open Maiden level appears a big plus for him and with even luck in running, he can prove hard to hold out.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 2 TELL ME
It pays to overlook his unplaced last start in the Group 2 Golden Horseshoe as he was outclassed, instead focusing on his eye-catching effort two starts prior when he clocked the fastest final 400m (22.66 sec) to finish fourth over 1200m. He has been freshened up since and can prove a value choice with the rise in distance.
Race 6 Number 8 GOLD STAR
Caught the eye with a strong late burst to check into second over this track and distance last time out when he reeled off the second best final 400m in 23.47 seconds. He has been knocking on the door recently and must be included.
