Kranji Track Spy, September 13

Race 1  Number 4 GOLD COAST

Had to be urged early to sit on speed after jumping awkwardly last time out. Due to the early hard work, he ran out of condition inside the final 150m and checked into fourth over 1000m.

Two starts ago, he finished a solid fifth behind unbeaten youngster FIELD MARSHAL in a quality Restricted Maiden race, so the strong formline holds him in good stead making his Class 5 debut this week.

Race 6  Number 7 MAKE U FAMOUS

It pays to overlook his unplaced last start as he was poorly weighted and pulled up lame in an Open Maiden race. Two starts ago, he finished third to LINCOLN MOONLIGHT who was placed in Class 4 subsequently, suggesting he is more competitive under handicap conditions.

He is well placed at the weights returning to Class 5 this week, which can prove him a big winning chance.

Race 2  Number 1 LIM’S RAY

Caught the eye with a fast finishing fourth over 1100m in Class 4 last time out while clocking the best final 400m in 23.33 seconds. He looks on track to breakthrough dropping to Open Maiden level.

Race 8  Number 5 LIM’S PASSION

Produced a solid first-up effort four weeks ago when he rattled home well to check into third, reeling off the second quickest final split in 23.73 seconds. In a field with plenty of natural speed, he can make his presence felt late.
