Kranji Track Spy, September 6

Race 2  Number 8 MISTER DYNAMO

His unplaced effort in the Group 2 Aushorse Golden Horseshoe was better than it reads when he was urged early to settle on speed from a wide barrier. Once entering the straight, the early hard work took its toll which saw him weaken into tenth, beaten five lengths.

He looks to have come back in good order judged off his recent trial and a massive drop in class stands him in good stead to score this week.

Race 7  Number 7 KISS YOUR SONG

Failed to find cover after jumping from an outer alley last time out, travelling three-wide throughout on speed off a blistering tempo.

To his credit, he still sprinted well in the straight to finish second beaten half a length over this track and distance. He has been knocking on the door recently and with better luck in running, he is capable of returning to the winner’s list.

Race 1  Number 4 FIREWORKS

Despite being poorly weighted in an Open Maiden race at his last start, he caused a big upset when defeating subsequent Class 4 place getter WATCH OUT BOSS by a nose, clocking the fastest final 400m in 23.31 seconds. Based on the strength of that win, he is ideally placed in a Class 5 field to notch a double this week.

Race 6  Number 9 FIELD MARSHAL

Caught the eye with a narrow but impressive debut win 40 days ago when he reeled off the fourth best final split (23.30 sec) to score by a nose over this distance. He has trialled well since and with only 51.5kg on his back, he looks on song to go back-to-back.
