VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 1 Number 5 HERO STAR
Did not disgrace himself last time out when he gave a bold sight and led under blistering splits, so he was entitled to run out of condition inside the final 200m, eventually checking into fourth place.
He has slid down the ratings and looks well placed in a moderate Class 5 field this week, which can prove him a big winning chance.
Race 7 Number 4 NOVA VOCAL
Had no luck last start when he was unable to find the cover after jumping from an outer alley, which saw him travel four-wide throughout before running on fairly in the straight to finish eighth over 1200m.
He holds a solid record of one win and four placings from seven attempts in this class, so with better luck in running, he appears capable of bouncing back for another win.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 3 Number 7 SUN RECTITUDE
Caught the eye with an improved performance at his second-up run where he let down sharply in the straight to finish second at this track and distance while recording the second best final 400m in 22.98 seconds.
Race 9 Number 4 YAYA PAPAYA
Put the writing on the wall last start when he clocked the fastest final split (22.59 sec) to check into second in a slowly run race. Boasting a great 50 per cent top 3 strike rate over this distance holds him in good stead.
