Race 1 Number 5 Aurora Pegasus

Produced an eye-catching debut performance at this track and distance 14 days ago when steadied early from barrier 10, settling second last and spotting the leaders eight lengths at the 800m. Once asked to go, he rattled home the fastest to check home into sixth place, beaten 3 ½ lengths.

What was likeable about his performance was that his last 600m, 400m and 200m all ranked either best or second best of the night, so there was a lot of merit to the run. From barrier 6 this week he should position closer and prove a winning chance.

Race 7 Number 1 Telecom Puma

Looks to get a ton more favours this week retuning to Happy Valley after a solid effort over 1200m at Sha Tin 32 days ago. From barrier 9 that day he was urged to the lead and posted just above average early sectionals, ensuring those off the pace would get into the race late as his run came to an end inside the final 100m.

From barrier 2 on Wednesday night he should be able to easily lead and dictate on his own terms and appears more than capable of holding for a place in an open looking Class 3 contest.

Race 4 Number 11 Godspeed

Racing consistently and most recently at this track and distance he finished nicely into fifth while posting the second fastest last 400m (23.00 seconds) which ranked 9th best of the night at +6.4 lengths above average.

Race 5 Number 5 High Rev

Is racing in career-best form at the moment and at his last three starts he has produced the fastest last 400m split on each occasion, with his most recent effort third best of the meeting at +7.9 lengtsh above average. He looks hard to hold out here.
