Race 3 Number 11 Lotus Breeze

Has had clear excuses at his last two starts, most recently given no chance from barrier 14 when steadied early but producing big mid-race exertion and taken extremely wide at the turn to run on into seventh. Before that, he stood in the barriers, missing the kick by many, many lengths but powering home for an eye-catching eighth place.

Jumping from barrier 1 this week should see him position handier to the speed and he looks hard to hold out in a moderate Class 5 field.

Race 6 Number 6 Simple Elegant

Simply led too quick at this track and distance 21 days ago, posting a +3.5 lengths above average to the 800m then increasing speed to the 600m and 400m with a +6 lengths and +6.8 lengths above average, respectively.

He still stuck on well for second, only beaten one-length, however he more than set up the speed for backmarkers so will need to be rated better to be a winning chance this week.

Race 8 Number 4 Lone Eagle

Has his first start for trainer Ricky Yiu after a lengthy break but at his last attempt, he produced a scintillating second fastest last 400m over 1200m in 22.14 seconds which ranked second best of the meeting at +5.3 lengths above average. He won a recent trial in the fastest 1000m time of the morning for this return and looks ready to fire first-up.

Race 9 Number 6 Promise Kept

Put in an eye-catching run at his third time of asking when he failed to muster over 1200m on the AWT but flashed home the fastest (23.64 seconds) to check home into fourth place. He appears an improving type worthy of including in bets on this race.
