Race 1 Number 9 KO OLINA
Has not raced since finishing seventh in a Restricted Maiden race in March when she settled on speed off a blistering tempo before weakening in the straight, the early work clearly taking its toll.
She has trialled ideally leading up to this week’s race and with a recent stable change, she can prove a value choice for trainer Donna Logan when making her Class 5 debut.
Race 5 Number 6 SUPER SMART
Did not distance at his last start when displaying a strong front running style to finish sixth, beaten 4.5 lengths in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas.
Prior to that, he had recorded one win and one second in this class after his narrow but impressive maiden victory in March, so he appears well placed to score another win back down to Class 4 this week.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 3 Number 1 COUNTRY BOSS
Made every post the winning post to score by six lengths after jumping from a wide barrier last time out while recording the fastest first 400m and final 400m. Based on the strength of that run, he looks on track to notch a double remaining in the same class.
Race 4 Number 1 O’REILLY STAR
Caught the eye with a powerful late burst to check into fifth over an unsuitable distance last start, reeling off the second quickest final 400m in 22.35 seconds. He will appreciate the extra distance and can prove a big winning chance dropping to Class 5.
