Race 2 Number 7 Flame Lily

Has drawn wide at his last two starts at this track and distance, most recently forced to work hard for the first 1000m to find the lead, posting well above average sectionals. He looked the winner until being gobbled up inside the final 50m, with the early work probably taking its toll.

In a race where there appears a lack of speed, he should get things much easier on pace, and he looks a good chance on shedding his Hong Kong maiden tag.

Race 8 Number 7 Last Kingdom

Returns to what appears to be a better suited track and distance after a get back, run on performance into fifth over this distance on the AWT 14 days ago. Prior to that, he disappointed when well-beaten as favourite here, but had genuine excuses with a lacerated hind.

His form before that suggests a win was near and he could represent good value each-way in a race like this.

Race 1 Number 4 Travel Datuk

iRace Magazine shows that at four of his past five starts he has produced either the fastest or second fastest last 400m sectional rankings at this track and distance. And, despite still being a 36-start maiden, he should be landing a win soon.

Race 3 Number 8 Righteous Mate

The jockey reported he raced “flat” 21 days ago when beaten as the $4.1 favourite, however his third fastest last 400m sectional of the race still suggests merit to the run. Based on his two previous efforts, he looks a good chance here.
