Travelled four-wide without cover just off the speed after jumping from an outer alley last start.
To his credit, he still stuck on well to finish third in a fast run race at this track and distance. A proven performer in this class who can atone for his last start defeat with better luck in running.
Race 8 Number 8 YULONG FAST STEED
His last start seventh place finish was better than it looks when he travelled wide throughout and was entitled to weaken late after a strange mid-race move from the 900m which saw him take the lead at the home turn.
He has been placed twice since dropping to this class four starts ago, so with a better-timed ride this week, he is capable of bouncing back for another win.

Rattled home well to finish fourth against quality rivals in Class 4 last time out, clocking the fastest final split in 24.60 seconds. He looks ready to run a big race making his Class 5 debut this week.
Race 2 Number 9 CHARMING DIAMOND
Caught the eye with a fast finishing effort on debut when reeling off the second quickest final 400m (23.04 sec) to check into third at this track. He will only have come on from that run and can prove a big winning chance second-up.
