Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 1, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R80.000, 12:50GMT+2

Race Summary: EVENING SONG and stable companion YUCATAN make most appeal of those with experience, although preference is for the former on riding arrangements. KELPIE is bred to be useful and hails from a yard known for having a newcomer ready, so must be respected with Marcus up. HOWL and LABYRINTH are others to make note of – watch the betting!

#1 Evening Song, #4 Kelpie, #11 Yucatan, #2 Howl

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 2, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R80.000, 13:25GMT+2

Race Summary: Good maiden. LINDA LOVES LACE sets the standard of those to have raced. She finished ahead of HONEY PIE and STELLA’S STORY when those rivals made their debut over a similar trip. Both are open to improvement so could turn the tables. Silvano newcomers CAMINO PALMERO and DUCHESS OF STATE are very well-bred and could feature if not too green. CIDER could get a look in too.

Selections:

#8 Stella’s Story, #7 Linda Loves Lace, #3 Camino Palmero, #5 Duchess Of State

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 3, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R80.000, 14:00GMT+2

Race Summary: NATURAL JADE has shown enough form and ability to be competitive. She makes most appeal of the older brigade with experience. DARK DESIRE is a nicely bred newcomer to make note of but stable jockey Bylevled rides stable companion SIXTEEN BARS who is preferred after a promising debut. Watch the betting on newcomers CALYPSO BEAT, LA DE DA and RYANAIR.

Selections:

#1 Natural Jade, #9 Sixteen Bars, #6 Calypso Beat, #7 La De Da

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R80.000, 14:35GMT+2

Race Summary: Brett Crawford has a strong hand here and his yard’s runners could dominate¬† the outcome. NORFOLK PINE will not be a maiden for much longer but stable companion KHOPESH has shown promise and should have his measure if making further progress. SAINT WEST has solid form at this level and should be competitive if fit after a layoff. SENOR DON isn’t without a chance either.

Selections:

#7 Khopesh, #4 Norfolk Pine, #1 Saint West, #8 Senor Don

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 5, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R86.000, 15:10GMT+2

Race Summary: A nice race. KNIGHTS TEMPLAR returned to form last time in no uncertain terms when winning over 1400m in his first start after gelding and there will be more to come from him. CROME YELLOW continues to run well and could pose a threat. MAGIC MIKE and SIX DEGREES are closely matched on recent form and both could improve to feature. TROOP THE COLOUR will be running on late!

Selections:

#1 Knights Templar, #3 Crome Yellow, #7 Six Degrees, #4 Magic Mike

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 6, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R120.000, 15:45GMT+2

Race Summary: Tricky. LORD BALMORAL and PERCIVAL are rated/weighted to run well. The former, however, has lost form and needs to bounce back whereas the latter has won three of his last four and is expected to feature prominently again. ELUSIVE TRADER has run well over track and trip in better races so warrants respect, while MACHIAVELLI has most scope for improvement and is distance suited.

Selections:

#6 Machiavelli, #2 Elusive Trader, #3 Percival, #5 Lanza

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 7, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R80.000, 16:20GMT+2

Race Summary: KING OF GEMS beat a subsequent winner on debut and finished 4th behind a smart 2yo who has since finished runner-up in a juvenile feature. He faces a stern test against older rivals but could prove equal to the task. KALAHARI NINJA has done little wrong with blinkers on and should play an active role again. Consistent SILVER LEAGUE won’t be off the action either. Good race!

Selections:

#2 King Of Gems, #1 Kalahari Ninja, #3 Silver League, #7 Rockin’ Ringo

Kenilworth, 19.06.2019, Race 8, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R80.000, 16:55GMT+2

Race Summary: PRETTY YOUNG THING has hit the woodwork in both starts and ought to be scoring soon. She’s been drawn wide on both occasions and faces another awkward starting berth here but will be poised to strike under her in-form, title-chasing rider. Stable companion LOUISA MAY wouldn’t be winning out of turn but has had better chances, so POLLY’S DESTINY and HERCULES GIRL are preferred.

Selections:

#12 Pretty Young Thing, #3 Polly’s Destiny, #5 Hercules Girl, #1 Forest Field

Best Win: #7 KHOPESH

Best Value Bet:

Best Longshot: #6 MACHIAVELLI
