VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 6 Number 3 LARRY
Jumped awkwardly last start which saw him lose considerable ground and settle at the rear while a slow tempo smashed any winning chance the backmarkers had.
Despite the adverse race shape, he appeared the only one rattling home well from a rearward position to finish fifth at this track and distance. So with the drop in class this week, he must be rated a big winning chance.
Race 9 Number 8 IRONSIDE
Settled in mid-field and travelled three-wide without cover after jumping from an outer alley last start. Once entering the home straight, he ran on well to check into fourth beaten 1.5 lengths at this track and distance.
He is well-placed at the weights and with better luck in running, he can prove a value choice against some more fancied runners.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 3 BASILISK
Has recorded the second best final 400m over this track and distance at his last two starts. He looks well placed in a field with plenty of natural speed after dropping to Class 5 for the first time this week.
Race 10 Number 1 JULIUS CAESAR
Showed improvement last time out after dropping to Class 4 when reeling off the second fastest final 400m (23.80 sec) to finish fourth over 1100m. He will relish the extra distance and looks ready to score at his second attempt back down to this class.
