Race 2 Number 10 Shining Ace

Looks ready to land his first win this week after a solid effort last start in which he raced wide throughout on speed from barrier 10. He looked the winner momentarily at the 300m as he hit the front until the work early work took its toll inside the 150m and he faded late for fourth.

With a more conducive run in transit from barrier 5 this week, he appears one of the main winning chances.

Race 10 Number 5 Righteous Doctrine

Has been steadily improving and his last-start fourth placing was full of merit after racing close to the speed in a very fast run mile contest. The race drastically sped up from the 800m to the 400m and when all others around him started to fade, he gallantly stuck on for a three-length beaten margin.

Based on his overseas form, he should relish the rise in distance and he could prove value with an unfashionable jockey and trainer combination this week.

Race 10 Number 8 Willie Way

His last two runs suggest he’s edging close to another win after two fast finishing efforts, posting the second best final splits on each occasion. In an open looking 1800m contest, he appears one at odds who could surprise.

Race 11 Number 8 Noble Steed

Overlook last start when racing on the AWT and instead focus on his prior turf runs when posting above average closing splits at this track and distance. From barrier 3, he looks a big player.
