VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 6 Number 5 EASY DOES IT
Is off the back of a luckless first-up run where he was bidding for an inside run inside the 350m before being tightened for room and copping a nasty check at the 300m, losing all momentum.
To his credit, he regathered momentum and flashed home into fourth, beaten 1 ½ lengths. With even luck in running, he can prove too good for his Class 4 rivals this week.
Race 8 Number 4 SIAM BLUE VANDA
Settled off the speed from a wide barrier in a slowly run Group 2 Three-Year-Old Classic (1400m) 22 days ago before charging home strongly up the inside to finish a close up fourth.
Posting the second best late split in the race required big exertion and stepping up in distance is a big positive for him in the Guineas this week.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 8 HUNTSMAN
Put the writing on the wall at his debut three weeks ago when he clocked the best final 400m (22.85 sec) to finish third over 1200m. He will relish the extra distance and looks a big winning chance second-up.
Race 4 Number 6 LIM’S PASSION
Broke his maiden in fine style last time out when he led all the way to score by 3.2 lengths over 1400m while recording the fastest final 400m in 23.41 seconds. Based on the strength of that win, he can prove hard to run down despite the rise in class.
