VIDEO REPLAY STARS
Race 4 Number 2 SPLINTER
Did not disgrace at his first-up run 23 days ago when he stalked the leader off a fast tempo before sprinting well in the straight to finish third at this track and distance.
The form has since been franked with winner HOWL, who adopted the same racing pattern, notching a double last weekend, which bodes well for SPLINTER second-up.
Race 5 Number 10 MR FAT KIDDY
Travelled three-wide off the speed early last start and to make things worse, he was caught four-wide without cover at the home turn, yet still rattled home well to finish fourth over 1200m on the Polytrack.
He looks to have improved in a recent trial where he attacked the line strongly and the rise in distance appears a big plus as well.
SECTIONAL TIME STARS
Race 2 Number 2 LIM’S DASHING
Despite the slow tempo at his most recent outing, he ran on sharply in the straight to finish second at this track and distance, recording the second quickest final 400m in 22.87 seconds. He appears a big winning chance dropping to Class 4 this week.
Race 10 Number 1 RIVER GOLDEN
Produced a fast finishing effort to check into fourth last time out while clocking the fourth quickest final 400m in 24.00 seconds. He will appreciate the extra distance and can make his presence felt late.
