Race 8 Number 12 Chairman Lo

You can put the pen through his last start when he settled three-wide throughout in a race run at well above average sectionals. He was a spent force at the 300m, to no one’s surprise, and faded noticeably to 10th place, beaten 5 ½ lengths.

He draws wide here but that should ensure good each way value in an open looking Class 3 1400m contest, and with better luck he can be in the money.

Race 9 Number 5 Uncle Steve

Is off the back of an unlucky last start effort when badly held up in the straight, going to the line untested. From the 550m to the conclusion of the race, jockey Zac Purton faced a wall of horses, however UNCLE STEVE managed to keep up with his tested rivals only to be beaten 1 ½ lengths into sixth.

UNCLE STEVE takes a rise in distance this week, which appears suitable based on his overseas form, and with some better luck, he looks hard to beat.

Sectional Time Stars

Race 8 Number 1 War Room

Relished the rise in trip last start with a scintillating run from back in the field to finish second, posting the fastest last 400m of the race in 22.89 seconds.

Race 10 Number 13 Perfect Match

A progressive up-and-coming three-year-old who takes to Class 2 for the first time, and is a strong finisher as iRace’s sectional time ranking data indicates. Looks unlikely to beat Champion’s Way, however he boasts strong place claims.
