Race 5 Number 5 Loving A Boom
Put the pen through his last-start effort when he was used up in the early stages but still not beaten all that far despite finishing ninth. From barrier 1 at this track and distance he was urged to the lead and drastically increased speed from the 800m to the 600m – a +7.8 lengths above average to the 600m simply too fast and he was entitled to fade in the straight.
He has been freshened and since trialled well to suggest he’s held form, so with a better judged ride he could go close to landing his first local win.
Race 6 Number 12 Witness Hunter
This three-year-old’s last two starts have been solid in fast run races and he just needs a slight race shape reversal to be back in the top three. He comes to Happy Valley on the back of a run over the Sha Tin mile where he faired best of the on pace runners after setting the track alight with a +8.7 lengths above average to the 600m.
Considering he was beaten just ¾ of a length gives a lot of credit to the run, and in an open looking race, he can give this a good shake.

Race 5 Number 10 E Master
Is on the verge of a Class 3 win after getting back last start but rattling home the best (22.44s) for third. On paper, there does appear good speed in the race, which should suit his get back, run on style.
Race 8 Number 8 God Of Dragon
An interesting runner first-up for his new trainer after posting some impressive closing splits at his last two starts, most recently catching the eye over 1400m at Sha Tin with a fast finishing second. He should be landing his first local win in due course.
