Race 3 Number 5 Buddies

This three-year-old has his third start this week and looks a big improver after a much better effort last start. He jumped from barrier 11 that day and had to work early to cut across to share the lead in a race that was run just above average through each section, so he did well to hold for fifth as those off the pace got into it late.

He has since turned in his best barrier trial performance yet and should be ready to figure in the finish.

Race 10 Number 5 Tangmere

Is first-up off a 145 day break and having only his fifth start in Hong Kong but importantly resumes off a gelding operation, and since then he has shown big improvement at the trials.

His last start is a pen job after racing wide throughout in a very fast run race but prior to that, he ran a close up fifth in a race similar to this. He can start to be followed this preparation.

Sectional Time Stars

Race 3 Number 4 Sam’s Love

Is consistent at reeling off fast final splits but that means he generally races for luck. However, if the pace eventuates, he’ll be hard to hold out.

Race 2 Number 3 Nice Kick

Sees Class 5 for the first time after missing the jump last start, getting well back before flashing home the best into fifth place. He should be a Class 5 winner in due course.
