Kranji Track Spy – April 19

VIDEO REPLAY STARS

Race 3  Number 1 FIRST CHOICE

His last start eighth place finish was better than it reads when he settled on speed off a blistering tempo before running out of condition inside the final 200m, beaten 3.7 lengths over 1200m.

He has been rested since and with the drop in class, he can prove a big winning chance returning to his favourite track where he boasts a 60 per cent top 3 strike rate.

Race 5  Number 2 RED DAWN

He appears to have benefited from the new ratings range as it should have taken much longer for him to drop to Class 4.

This veteran galloper has previously been competitive in Class 3, therefore he stands out as the class runner this week and it will be no surprise to see him back to the winner’s circle.

SECTIONAL TIME STARS

Race 4  Number 2 TAVITO

Rattled home late to finish sixth over 1000m last start while clocking the second fastest final 400m in 24.02 seconds. He will relish the drop in class and looks set to bounce back.

Race 8  Number 7 BEBOP

Continues to post impressive closing splits and looks a chance of being competitive again after a solid third last time out. He can make his presence felt late under the right race shape.
