Race 8 Number 12 Ping Hai Treasure

He hasn’t been a typical Size-trained galloper to just come out and win, in fact he remains unplaced from five local starts so far. However, his most recent efforts suggest he’s nearing a spot in the finish.

At this track, he has settled on speed in races run at brutal early tempos but never been far away in the finish. From barrier 1 on Wednesday, he can map ideally to be a big threat.

Race 2 Number 4 Mister Monte

Has got back down to a winnable rating and last start suggests a return to form after racing wide early over this distance before being pushed forward to share the lead.

The leaders went quick enough for those off the pace to be advantaged in that race, so he was entitled to fade late. Purton jumps on this week and from barrier 2 he should endure more luck in running.

Race 8 Number 7 Racing Luck

Continues to post big late splits and last start, despite a poor run when he was pushed along and finished third last, he still put up the best last 400m (22.49s) in a race run to suit those on pace.

Race 6 Number 4 Joyful Union

Is third-up this week after a promising second-up run when he settled too far back from barrier 11 but got home the second best (23.68s) to check home into sixth, beaten just 1 ½ lengths. He can settle handier from barrier 2 this week.
