Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 1, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R80.000, 13:20GMT+2

Race Summary: RIO QUERARI and ALL BLACK both showed promise on debut and with natural improvement should be competitive. Well-bred THE LAST SUPPER is one to note onhis return from a rest during which he was gelded. TREE OF WISDOM and PICK EIGHT CAPTAIN make most appeal of the newcomers, although the betting shouldprovide a better guide to the chances of those on debut.

#8 Rio Querari, #1 All Black, #7 Pick Eight Captain, #10 Tree Of Wisdom

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 2, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R91.000, 13:55GMT+2

Race Summary: Tricky start to the BiPot. RED MARS (unbeaten over course and distance), GREEN ARCHER and CROME YELLOW are all closely matched on the form of their meeting behind Charles. The latter has taken time to come to hand and is probably better than rated, though the same can be said of in-form GRAND SILVANO. Top-weight WAITING FOR RAIN and CHATUCHAK are consistent and have claims too.

#6 Crome Yellow, #5 Green Archer, #2 Grand Silvano, #1 Waiting For Rain

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 3, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R80.000, 14:30GMT+2

Race Summary: CYBER BLOSSOM and STYLISH ICON have both finished 2nd to exciting Vandah’s Spirit. The former did so at level weights so is preferred, although the latter is open to any amount of improvement after a promising debut. Well-related SANSKRIFT is bred to be useful and could make her presence felt on debut.Watch betting on GIMME GIMME GIMME, WINTER IN MOROCCO and LADY OF THE LAKE.

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R80.000, 15:05GMT+2

Race Summary: DESTIN is overdue a maiden win and could go one better after 3 consecutive runner-up finishes from a favourable inside draw. Improving VAR EXPRESS is likely to pose a threat, though, and must be respected. Of the others with experience, AT THE OFFICE and HYPNOTIST (gelded) could stake a claim. Newcomers INDIGO TRACTOR and NORFOLK PINE are bred to be useful and could feature.

#1 Destin, #2 Var Express, #11 Norfolk Pine, #10 Indigo Tractor

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 5, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R80.000, 15:40GMT+2

Race Summary: Open – include as many as possible in the exotics. AZIRI SUN, DANCING FOR RAIN and GREY PRINCESS have the form to be competitive if race ready on their returns. FEE FI FOE FUM and LIP SERVICE have improved in recent starts and can play a role if making progress. BLUSH SCARLET is likely to feature while HILDEGARDE and SLEEPING SINGLE could have more to offer going this trip.

Race Summary: VFORVICTORY confirmed the promise of his debut when stepped up in trip and will have more to offer over the extra. MERCURANA improved with blinkers on and will also have more to give. Fellow last-start maiden winners BLACKBEARD and DHARMA could have a say but a bigger threat may come from SWIFT SURPRISE who has improved after gelding. Respect TROOP THE COLOUR with blinkers on!

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 7, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R91.000, 16:50GMT+2

Race Summary: Tricky. Speedy STEFFI’S GRAFT was only pegged back late over further last week so this drop in trip may suit. CELESTIAL STORM should fare better at this level after contesting stronger races, while THE BOSTON ROSE may also have more to offer under these conditions. FOURS A CROWD is also capable of staking a claim, as are stable companions ANDALUSIAN and ESTIMET.

#9 Steffi’s Graft, #2 The Boston Rose, #1 Celestial Storm, #5 Fours A Crowd

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 8, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R96.000, 17:25GMT+2

Race Summary: Talented HELEN’S IDEAL is versatile and capable over sprint trips. The addition of blinkers to her racing equipment has seen an upturn in her form and, with the headgear retained, she could be hard to peg back. TWIN FALLS and RUSH HOUR GIRL are useful speedsters with proven form at this level, so are likely to pose a threat. TALITHA BOREALIS and WESTERN ANGEL have claims too.

#2 Helen’s Ideal, #3 Twin Falls, #6 Rush Hour Girl, #5 Western Angel

Durbanville, 16.03.2019, Race 9, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R80.000, 17:55GMT+2

Race Summary: Big field and some runners drawn wide need luck in running to feature. RED  RASCAL and TEMP THE THE TIGER have been inconsistent of late but both are drawn well and capable of contesting the outcome if in the mood. DRAGON POWERand BEETHOVEN will need things to go their way from wide gates but could have a say too. READY TO RUMBLE, BESTDAY OF MYLIFE and JEPHTHAH have claims

#1 Red Rascal, #3 Temp The Tiger, #4 Dragon Power, #8 Beethoven
