Race 1: 4. Gunnison can take big improvement from his first-up run into his second-up run this week. He appears the one to beat in a four horse field but 2. Wishful Thinker’s turn of foot is probably the sharpest, so he looks the testing material in what appears to be barrier trial speed run race.
Race 2: 4. King’s Man looks to get a conducive run from an inside draw and the rise in distance suits. 2. Remarkable has been knocking on the door at his last two starts and will be there fighting out the finish. 8. Holy Unicorn is in career best form and can continue winning ways should it be run to suit. 3. Enfolding could sneak place based on his effort a few starts ago.
Race 3: 2. Chairman Lo will get his chance and should have some more upside being a three-year-old for John Size. He did, however, have every chance last start but this is a weak race. 3. Golden Four has consistent form on the board and should get every chance from his barrier. 1. Seventy Seventy can be followed back down to Class 4. 5. Jimson The Dragon has shown glimpses of ability and strikes a race to figure in.
Race 4: 9. Fun Times is edging closer to a win and he holds form with a sound trial. This is another lowly affair where nothing would surprise. 1. Super Leader gets a good run from his draw and the rise in distance appears suitable now. 12. Deal Maker can be given a shout back onto turf and 1400m. 5. Happy Hour could be a place chance at odds with Purton taking the ride.
Race 5: 4. Beauty Charisma appears to be a handy newcomer who strikes a winnable race at his first-up run. 13. Multimillion ran off the track last start so forget the run. Read Track Spy for more. 2. Seven Heavens is a good chance based on his eye-catching effort at this track and distance last start. 5. Eagle barrier trialled well up the straight recently, keep safe.
Race 6: 4. Brave Baby looks suited to this track and distance. He should push forward and give a good sight. 1. Winner Supreme is a dangerous front runner but could be vulnerable late. 5. Bond Elegance is a typical Class 4 handicapper who can win under the right scenario. 11. Alcazar is a place chance on recent efforts.
Race 7: 3. Simply Big looks primed to breakthrough this week. Read Track Spy for more. 2. Silver Fig won well on debut last season. He has been trialling well and can go well fresh. 10. Tom’s Dragon has been consistent without winning. This track and distance could suit as he always trials well on it. 1. All You Need can run a good race first-up under Purton.
Race 8: 5. What Else But You looks the one to beat on current form under these race conditions. 4. Simply Brilliant will find this easier than last start as well as appreciating the drop back in distance. He is the testing material. 7. Morethanlucky raced awkwardly last start and was disappointing, though he’s since been back to the trials and looked well. 9. Good Standing has found form recently and looks a place chance.
Race 9: 2. Elusive State vies to remain unbeaten this season and should be hard to beat again. 6. Glorious Artist had no luck last start and arguably should have won. Read Track Spy for more. 5. Raging Blitzkrieg is consistent and will be thereabouts. 4. King Genki should lead here and can prove hard to run down after his last-start all the way win.
Race 10: 2. Prance Dragon is racing well after a stable change and from the barrier he can win again. 3. Hard Promise will also be thereabouts from his good draw. They’re hard to split. 11. Solar Wai Wai rises in class but can measure up. Read Track Spy for more. 6. Champion’s Way has shown above average ability at Happy Valley but looks to have a few things go against him here – it is a good test of his ability here.
Race 11: 6. Cordyceps was impressive winning in fast splits at his first try over the mile last start – he can lead all the way again. 5. Not Usual Talent finished runner up on that occasion and can repeat the dose. 13. Witness Hunter trialled impressively in blinkers recently. He looks a big improver. 9. Unicron Jewellery is mostly always close up and can be considered for exotics.
