Happy Valley Preview – March 6

Race 1: 2. Enjoyable Success looks ready to break through after two good past runs. Purton takes the ride which should ensure every hope. 10. Little Fantasy has been running some good races recently, finishing close up. He looks a chance in a wide-open affair. 9. Bonito looks a place chance at odds after a few closing efforts and finishing close up. 3. Amazing Gold can go well fresh from a good draw and back on turf.

Race 2: 9. Dollar Reward should get every chance to break through this week from his low draw off the back of a couple of solid runs. 2. Super Lucky is racing well after a stable. Go on his win two back after racing fiercely last start. 4. Very Rich Man can race on pace and be a place chance from there. 6. Brave Command could be an improver second-up.

Race 3: 9. Gift Of Lifeline flashed home into third over 1000m last start and on that run he looks primed to score over 1200m. 1. Jolly Bountiful failed as the odds-on favourite last start and he is not good enough to warrant that sort of quote anyway. He’s a chance but you wouldn’t bet him too short. 10. Le Terroir in an improving three-year-old. Read Track Spy for more. 4. Generous Heart should be returning to the winner’s circle in this grade soon. He can surprise at odds.

Race 4: 4. Naboo Star was good at his first try over this distance last start but did have some slight bad luck. Read Track Spy for more. 5. Happy Warrior was a strong last start winner when leading all the way in fast splits. Barrier 12 makes things trickier. 3. Fortunate Runner looks a chance coming to Happy Valley. His Sha Tin runs hold him in good stead. 11. Diamond Legend is racing well after a stable change and will be making a late bid.

Race 5: 3. Har Har Heart has finished second at his past three starts and strikes a race to continue his good form in. 5. Racing Luck could be able to sit handier from a better draw than what he’s had recently. He has a big turn of foot which can prove him hard to hold out. 11. Cheerful Boy and 8. Thunder Stomp are the pace influencers who, should they not over do it, can figure.

Race 6: 9. Vigor Fame had excuses last start but was solid here two starts ago. He is nearing a win. 4. Helene Charisma may need some luck regarding tempo but he has a good draw with Purton on. 6. Famous Warrior draws wide but is consistent. Place claims for him. 2. Namjong Plus will be hard to hold out if they run faster than average.

Race 7: 10. Coby Oppa rises in class after a sensational all the way win on the AWT last start. He looks progressive and can be hard to run down. 4. Special Stars disappointed up the 1000m Sha Tin straight last start. He can bounce back returning to Happy Valley. 7. Waldorf is another runner suited switching back to Happy Valley. 6. Diamond Rhyme appears to be a work in progress but Purton has been aboard a lot in track work. Last run was better than it reads.

Race 8: 1. Country Star is hard to go past based on his form. He’s adaptable to different pace scenarios so looks hard to beat again. 4. Music Additon has been winning impressively here and looks to have plenty of upside. 3. Super Turbo can be hard to hold out if the pace eventuates – there are plenty of speed influencers in this race. Read Track Spy for more. 6. Hinchinlove has good Sha Tin form which will hold up here – he was unsiuted to a very slow tempo last start, so forget the run.
